Letter To Editor
We, the members of the Thornton’s Gap Regular Baptist Church, Sperryville, Vi? ginia, assembled for worship on October 1, 1967, wish to express to our fellow citizens in Rappahannock County the following sentiment:
That on the basis ofourfaith in the Bible as the Word of God and the only guide for faith and practice, we believe the use of intoxicating drink is wrong. That we therefore disapprove of the establishment of a State A. B. C. Store in the town of Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia.
We are sending a copy of this letter to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board; a copy to Mr. J. Newbill Miller, Chair man of the Rappahannock Coun ty Board of Supervisors; and a copy to the Rappahannock News to be published.

Dear Editor: There are several churches of different denominations in ! our county. When a person takes the vows of these churches he promises before God and man to uphold its discipline. If the doctrine of any one of these churches approves the wrecking of the! lives of our fellowman, it is! unknown to me. I believe that a large percentage of our people are church members and that it | behooves every member to be! true to the vows he has taken! and to do all in his power to prevent the establishment of an A.B.C. store in our fair county, the establishment of
