The County Achievement Pro gram for Homemakers will be held on November 20, 1967, beginning at 7:30 p. m. in the Amissville Fire Hall. This is a change in date from original plans - tentative plans called for the program to be held November 6, however, Miss Flickinger, who is to present the program is not available for that date.

I thought you’d be interested in what it has to offer. “The children of today love luxury, they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love to chatter in place of exercise. “Children now are tyrants - not servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up the dainties on the table, cross their legs and tyrannize their teachers." Perhaps you think this is a good description of children today, but you might be surprised to know it was written by Socrates back in the days aefore Christ, sometime between 469 and 399 B. C.!
