Competing for the crown- this year are: 12th grade Eleanor Rector, 11th grade Beverly Payne, 10th grade Teresa Cordani, 9th grade Joan Kay Welch, 8th grade Mary Lynn Smelley, 7tlv grade Catherine Stringfellow. The queen will be crowned February 10 at the dance. Mod and the Rockers will provide the music and admission is $1.25 per person and $2.00 a couple. Make plans now to attend the dance and see our Sweetheart Queen crowned. Also be sure and support your favorite candidate or all of them. Congratulations to Mrs. Mof fett’s 10th grade girls on the fine job they did cleaning the campus. They scored 5.3 which is the highest yet. They really deserve credit because it was cold outside with snow on the ground and they still came through with flying colors. I wonder who can top their score?
Ten SCA members plan to attend the AFS forum in Richmond on February 24. They make up part of the 45 students that will come from all over the world to take part in a panel discussion. I know our ten members are eagerly look ing forward to this trip and students should be proud that our school is participating.
