Mrfe. Noel Laing undertook a project in upholstering when she was a member of the Amissville Homemakers Club and with that group received instructions from B. A. Cook at his shop in Amissville. Mra Laing is extremely proud of her accomplishment and with Mr. Cook displays the finished product. The chair had a bare beginning for it was stripped down to the frame, springs were retied and step by step the chair was made anew with excellent results. The project was started last year and shortly thereafter Mra Laing moved to Purcellville, so was able to work on it m, a limited fashion. However, with perseverance, her goal was attained.
