Of Marsh Campaign

Congressman John O. Marsh has announced that Leo Snarr of Woodstock will be Campaign Director of the 7 th Congressional District campaign. Mr. Snarr, General Manager of Valley Builder’s Supply in Woodstock, has served as Campaign Coordinator and as Campaign Manager in Congressman Marsh’s three previous successful bids for Congress.

Mr. Snarr attended Massanutten Military Academy and Roanoke College and is a veteran of the Korean War. In addition to being a life member of the Jaycees, he has been the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award and the V.F.W. Outstanding Citizen’s Award. Mr. Snarr stated, “Jack Marsh has proven to be an able voice of the 7th District in the halls of Congress. His representation has been one of complete devotion and dedication to every citizen and every business of this district. With three jerms of seniority in Congress, Jack Marsh has even a greater contribution to make towards the future growth of our district, state, and nation.”

Mr. Snarr further stated, “It is my pleasure to help direct Congressman Marsh’s campaign and see him reelected to further continue his unselfish service to this district.”

Dawsons Purchase

Hidden Valley Farm

Mr. and Mrs. James S. Dawson III of Chevy Chase, Md. have purchased “Hidden Valley Farm,” the 912-acre cattle farm near Huntly owned by Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Harris. The Dawsons plan to live there full time in a few years. He is an attorney and Mrs. Dawson is the former Helen Bentley whose father Alvin Bently was at one time a Congressman from Michigan. “Hidden Valley Farm” includes a gracious old Victorian house of eleven rooms and two and a half baths, a modernized guest house, an eight stall horse bam, four cattle barns,two large silos, a farm pond and a 10-acre apple orchard in production.
