Fashion Show
“The Shade”, a lovely, old historical home built in 1780 for Charles Green and now owned by Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Summers of Washington, Virginia and Washington, D. C. will be the scene for the Rappahannock Hunt’s Benefit Fashion Show and Tea to be held on Friday, October 11, at 3 p.m.
Surrounded by the beauty of Rappahannock County in the fall, the Blue Ridge as a background, Garfinckles of Washington, D. C. will present the very latest in fashions for City and Country living.
The public is cordially invited to attend. Tickets at $3.00 each may be obtained by writing Mrs. James Massie, Amissville, or purchased at the gate.
Directions from Washington, Virginia: 2.3 miles from the blinker light on Route No. 211 towards Sperryville, turn left at sign on County Road No. 622 for 2.1 miles. “The Shade” sign and entrance is on the right.
