Plans Programs
The Arts and Crafts Project met September 9 at Thompsen’s Cab-Inn, Sperryville with nine ladies present. The session was called a planning meeting for their 1969-70 projects.
The next meeting will be September 23 and will be a Show and Tell on Christmas ideas, also completing plans for the sale of their items during the October 25 and 26th House Tour.
Pony Club to Organize
This year’s first meeting of the 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club will be held Saturday, September 13 at Fairlea Farm, the home of Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead in Washington at 10 a.m. Anyone in grades 4-12 are cordially invited to come.
This is an important meeting, as this year’s club officers will be elected. You are urged to attend this meeting, even if you don’t have a horse, to show your interest.
Chester Gap Revival
A revival will be held at the Chester Gap Baptist Mission from September 21 until October 1. Services each evening are scheduled for 7:30 p m., Monday through Saturday. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., according to the pastor the Rev. Roy Mathena. The guest Evangelist will be the Rev. Wendell Patterson of Tazewell Baptist Church, Tazewell, Va. A nursery is provided and a cordial welcome is extended everyone.
