Sewing Workshops

Requests have been received for classes in Basic, Wool Dress and Tailoring Workshops for the fall. These will be taught by Judy Burtner, Extension Agent, Home Economics for Rappahannock County. All persons attending these classes will need to register on or before Tuesday, September 16 by calling the Extension Office (675-3619) leav n me, address and phone number and class interested in or by writing Judy Burtner, Extension Agent, Home Economics, Washington, Virginia giving the information listed above.

The .Basic Clothing Workshop is for those persons that have had very little experience with clothing construction. Each participant will contruct a simple cotton garment.

In the wool dress workshop each participant will work with wool and be taught the skills and techniques necessary for the construction of a wool garment.

In the Tailoring Workshop, each participant will be taught the skills and techniques necessary for the construction of a tailored garment, either a suit or coat.

The tailoring workshop will be taught during the day, the basic and wool dress at night.

Preliminary meetings will be held the week of Sept. 22nd. All persons who register will be notified by mail as to exact date, and place.
