This has been a long and weary week for the 8th, 9th and 11th grade students. They are now in the process of taking the aptitude and achievement tests. These tests are used by the guidance counselor and teachers for planning schedules, making placements, and improving skills. So get to work students, and do your best,
The Annual Staff held its first meeting last Thursday. They are really at work to make the keenest and greatest Annual yet. The editor is Amy Palmer, assistant editor, Susan Dodson and business manager, Sandra Payne.
The Magazine Campaign will be soon in progress. Let’s everyone try to sell as many magazines as possible, so we can pass our goals. Attention Seniors: The Freshman class is going to compete with any class in this campaign, so let’s give them a good show!
The Future Homemakers of America held a meeting Friday. The president is Marth< O’Bannon; vice president, Janet Sore; secretary, Charlotte Printz; treasurer, Patsy Payne; and reporter and historian, Brenda Jett.
The Senior Class met to elect this year’s officers. They are: president, Teresa Cordani; vice president, Floyd Grigsby; secretary, Linda Jenkins and treasurer, Jane Kilby.
The Honor Society met also and elected officers as follows: president, Jane Kilby; vice president, Lois Yates; secretary and treasurer, C. G. Thornhill.
