Vincent King
Vincent King of Amissville died August 26, 1969 in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. He was the son of the late Ed King and Mrs. Alberta King and was 47 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nellie Janie King and three children, Bonnie Fitzgerald King, Darlene Claudette King and Gary Vincent King, all at home.
A funeral service was held August 30th at Bethel Baptist Church, Amissville with the Rev. Carter Ausberry officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
At the time of his death he was employed at William Pickett’s Sawmill at Amissville.
Oakley Hopkins
Oakley Clyde Hopkins, 83, died Monday, September 8, 1969 in Washington, D. C.
Mr. Hopkins, a retired farmer of Sperryville, had made his home in Washington, D. C. for the past seventeen years.
He was bom in Sperryville, son of the late John and Laura Hopkins. Survivors include two sisters, Miss Annie Laurie Hopkins and Miss Mabel Hopkins, both of Washington, D. C.
A graveside funeral service was held in the Sperryville Cemetery Wednesday at 2 p.m. Rev. John Long, pastor of Culpeper Methodist Church, officiated.

Miss Sallie Lillard of Flint Hill was a Monday caller. On Monday Jack Nicholson was in Martinsburg, W. Va. for a check-up at the Newton D. Baker Veterans Hospital accompanied by his son William Nicholson. Ashby Wayland is a surgical patient in the Warren Memorial Hospital.
