Andrew G. Tylefc Dies

After Fall from Horse

Andrew G. Tylek, Jr. of Amissville died Saturday of injuries sustained in a fall from a horse while riding with the Warrenton and Old Dominion Hunts near Orlean, Va. Mr. Tylek apparently died instantly when his horse stumbled over a jump throwing him to the ground. He was 34 years old and had moved with his family to Amissville about two years ago. See obituary inside.

The Church of God’s Prophecy in Sperryville will hold revival services beginning November 6 at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Evangelist Grady Harris of Fredericksburg. Everyone is invited to attend.

Lions Hear Brumback Speak on Vietnam

Lee Brumback, Virginia Polytechnic Institute Extension Agent serving Rappahannock County, gave an informative presentation on Vietnam to the Rappahannock Lions at its Oct. 22 dinner meeting.

Brumback who served two years with the Vietnamese Christian Service as an agriculturist showed slides and gave his views of the agricultural, economic, and political problems of Vietnam.

The Lions will observe American Education Week (Nov. 10-14) at its Nov. 12 meeting with Mr. O. A. Norton, Supt. of the Rappahannock Schools, as the guest speaker. Miss Lynn Whitehurst of Sperryville will present pre-dinner music.
