Dr. Edgar F. Puryear Jr. of Stanardsville gave the keynote •ddress, speaking on the courage needed to be a leuder. He is an attorney and in addition teaches three courses at the University of Virginia. The group formed discussion groups and after lunch entertainment was provided by teachers, Walter Mallory and Edward Gray and students Misses Lynn Whitehurst and Carol Fox. They presented a program of folk songs and folk music with guitars, and led a sing along session.
Acting as hostesses for the day and for coke breaks were RCHS cheerleaders who also served cookies provided by the F H A. chapter. School decorations and bulletin boards were done by the art classes and FBLA chapter.
School counselor and advisor Richard Neff who remained in the background was extended a word of appreciation for his idvice and assistance in .oOrdinalmg the program
