Rappahannock residents are reminded of the ordinance governing the purchase and display of county license tags The ordinance states that the license is imposed upon ever) motor vehicle regularly housed bi stored in the county and used oi intended to be regularly operated upon highways in the county. I! is imposed on every motor vehiclt including, but not limited to automobiles, trucks and motorcycles.
Excluded are vehicles used by dealers or manufacturers for sales purposes and vehicles used as common carriers of persons or property and operated between cities or towns.
The tag’s validity extends from April 15 of one year through April 14 of the following year. This year windshield stickers have replaced the metal plate formerly used. The public is advised that checking details are being held and summons will be issued those who have not complied with the ordinance.
