Return* Home From Tour Round World
Dr. Katherine Oettinger has returned to her home Canterbury from a two month’s trip which took her around the world. Starting in Hawaii she spent two weeks attending an International Conference on Social work in Education, Population and Family Planning held in Honolulu. As a follow up to the conference she visited schools on social work and ministries in Hong Kong, India and Tunisia consulting on the contribution such agencies can make to family planning in over populated countries. The last two weeks were spent motoring with friends through Morocco starting at Casablanca going down the Atlantic coast to Agadir. She also saw sections of the Sahara Desert and on to Marrakech, Fez and other points of interest. She was fortunate enough to see the early spring blooming of orange, date and olive trees and along the way visited historic ruins of various civilizations.
