Stewart Palmer, W. G. hast ham, Jr. of Amissville and John Quaintance of Sperryville recently reported to Ft. Polk, La. for training in the National Guard. H. Magruder Keyser and two sons Scott and Joe of Clifton were visitors Sunday of his mother, Mrs. Henry M. Keyser and uncle, Jos. D. Keyser. Mr- apd Mrs. George.J. Bentley, of Washington, 0. C. are spending ' this week at Ash Tree Farm. Their Tuesday dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Rodgers, Miss Jill Rodgers and the Rodgers’ house guests, Mrs. John Bentley and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bentley of Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley attended the Apple Blossom Festival parade Friday in Winchester accompanied by Mrs. Joel Daczewitz of Woodville. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Weakley joined Mr. and Mrs. Forest McCarty of Stephen City and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lampe and two daughters of Winchester for a picnic at The Pinnacles on Sky Line Drive.
Mayor Dorothy C. Davis and Councilwoman Bertha Arm el represented the Town Council at the Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester where they attended the Mayor’s Luncheon at the George Washington Hotel and rode on the Mayor’s float. A former Rappahannock County resident, now Mayor of Falls Church, Thomas Granville Eastham also attended the festivities.
