Members of the 1970 {raduating class of Rappahannock bounty High School who have ' ichieved the highest academic standing are Floyd Grigsby, Amy Calmer, Judy Burke and Terry Russell. The announcement was uade Tuesday by the school principal Dennis Wingfield. Floyd Grigsby, who will be valedictorian of the class, is the ion of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin P. Urigsby of Castleton. He has been active in baseball through high school and is a member of the Letterman’s Club. He is in the National Honor Society, Rappahannock Chapter and is rice president of the senior class. Salutatorian is Amy Palmer of Washington, daughter of Mrs. C. B. Palmer. Among the many school activities in which Amy has participated are the Honor Society and 4-H clubs for many years. She is editor of the year book, The Rappsody, and was named Sweetheart Queen this year. Amy was Junior Class president and has been a cheerleader four years. Judy Burke, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Burke of Washington, ranked third in the class and is a member of the National Honor Society, Rappahannock Chapter.
In fourth place is Terry Russell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell of Flint Hill. He has acted as president of the S.C.A. this year and was vice president the previous year. He is a member of the Honor Society, secretary of the F.B.L.A. and a member of the annual staff.
Graduation exercises are scheduled for Friday, June 5,j 1970 at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium. The class is composed of 46 graduates, 24 girts and 22 boys.
