Pheasants Checked A total of 215 pheasants were checked in Virginia last fall. Two of these were from Rappahannock. Neighboring Page County lead the state with 62.

More Anglers If you thought there were more fishermen on the trout streams opening day you were probably right. By an actual car count taken shortly after noon opening day each year there was an increase of almost a third more cars this year over last. The 438 cars would probably indicate 1600-1700 anglers.

Amissville Ladies Auxiliary made plans at the regular April meeting Tuesday night to serve dinner on April 21 to the Amissville Ruritan Club. Nine members were present and discussed the plans and preparation for a public supper sponsored by Amissville Fire Company which is scheduled for May 22.
