Crotty-Havas wedding
IN A 4 O’CLOCK CEREMONY, Saturday afternoon, August 12, at the church of St. John the Evangelist in Warrenton, Cathleen Ann Crotty became the bride* of Peter Joseph Havas. The Rev. Joseph Schwartz performed the ceremony and Trevor Rea was organist.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Edward Parker of Four Springs, •Amissville, and Carlton Crotty of Arlington. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Zolton Havas of South Harpswell, Maine.
Given in marriage by her step-father, Edward Parker, the bride wore a gown of white peau de soie trimmed with gros point lace. Her short illusion veil fell from a peau de soie cap. She carried a bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath.
Miss Mary Elizabeth Parker was her sister’s maid of honor, and Mrs. Russell Baker, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid. Russell Baker was best man, and Randall Johnson was usher.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Airlie Lodge. □
