Acting under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by power of attorney granted by certain of the heirs of the late Viimie E. Jenkins, I will offer for sale at public auction,

ON THE PREMISES

A certain tract or parcel of land known as the “Ellis H. Jenkins and Vinnie E. Jenkins” property located on the “Fodderstack Road” , approximately one mile northeast of the Town of Washington, Virginia, containing a dwelling house and several small outbuildings, said tract of land being further described as follows, to-wit: “Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of State Road No. 628 running to Washington, Virginia, with the centerline of Rush River being a common corner of lands now owned or formerly owned by one Mrs. W. G. Wood and Edwin Scroggins and lands owned and developed by the Government, designated as Unit No. 7 and Unit No. 17 of Washington Unit, Shenandoah Park Homesteads, thence along the centerline of said State Road No. 628, North 17 49’ West 617.0 feet, thence North 18 03’ East 155.4 feet, thence North 22 51’ East 229.0 feet, thence North 09 22’ East 97.7 feet, thence North 12 36’ East 30.7 feet to the point of intersection of said centerline with the centerline of a dirt road, the point of beginning of the tract hereinafter described, thence continuing along said State Road centerline North 12 36’ East 169.4 feet, thence North 28 20’ East 50.7 feet, thence North 33 38’ East 190.5 feet, thence leaving said road centerline and running North 80 38’ West 333.42 feet to the centerline of the dirt road and above mentioned, thence along said centerline South 21 01’ East 453.0 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.325 acres, more or less.”

This is the same property acquired by Ellis H. Jenkins and Vinnie E. Jenkins from the United States of America by deed dated September 11, 1944, and recorded October 4, 1944, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in Deed Book 45, at page 254.

TERMS OF SALE: Said sale is to be made for cash and immediately after the time of purchase, the successful bidder shall make a deposit of 10% of the purchase price of the tract to the Attorney in Fact, and the balance shall be paid within ten days thereafter. _
