A certain tract or parcel of land in Jackson Magisterial District, Rappahannock County, Virginia, containing 4.44 acres with a dwelling and improvements, known as the “Cora Scott Norman Property” and fronting on the Viewtown Road located adjacent to Barron’s Store at Viewtown, Virginia, said tract of land being further described as follows, to-wit: “Beginning at A in the plat, a point in the road from Viewtown to Amissville (25 links from an iron rod driven on the north side of the said road), a corner to J. J. Barron’s Est. thence with said Est. North 7 15’ East. 5.33 Chains, to B in plat, an iron pipe driven by a post, a corner to said Barron’s Est. and the remainder of the Scott land, thence crossing the Scott land with a n included angle of 97 10’ North 76 15’ West; 7.35 Chains, to C in plat, an iron pipe driven a corner to said Scott, thence with his line with an included angle of 88 10’ South 12 30’ West 5.87 Chains to D in plat, a point in the aforesaid road (23 links from an iron pipe driven on the north side of said road) a corner to said Scott, thence with the road with an included angle of 106 30’ South 62 30 East 1.75 Chains to E in plat, a point in said road, thence with road, with an included angle of 155 40’ South 86 30’ East 6.16 Chains with an included angle of 92 32’ at the point of Beginning and Containing 4.44 acres.”
This is the same property acquired by Cora Scott Norman, now deceased, from Oliver H. Scott and Ella Scott by deed dated October 31, 1950 and recorded July 9, 1951, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in Deed Book 56, page 375.
TERMS OF SALE: Said sale is to be made for cash and immediately after the time of purchase, the successful bidder or bidders of the respective tract shall make a deposit of 10% of the purchase price of the tract to the credit of this Court in this cause in the Farmers and Merchants National Bank of Winchester, General Receiver of this Court, and the receipt or receipts showing said deposits shall then be forthwith delivered to the Commissioners appointed herein.
