AN ANTICIPATED big showdown over Rappahannock’s temporarily bankrupt dog fund didn’t work out that way at last Thursday’s monthly meeting of the Board of Supervisors.
The big crowd that had been predicted failed to materialize (it might have been because of the heavy rains, which could be heard on the Court House’s tin roof throughout the meeting); what oratory there was was restrained; everybody finally agreed to think about the problem and consider it again next summer, at the start of a new fiscal year.
