Mrs. Hawkins
Mrs. Eva Burke Hawkins of Culpeper died October 10 in a Fredericksburg nursing home. She was 82, a native of Rappahannock County.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Charles Burke of Culpeper, Mrs. Louis Hitt of Burlington, N. C., and Mrs. Carl Cox of Fredericksburg; two sons, Clifton M. Hawkins of Manassas and William B. Hawkins of Warrenton; a sister, Mrs. Bertha Hawkins of Woodville; two brothers,. Weldon Burke and Walter Burke, both of Woodville; six grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John S. Farrar will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Hawkins was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church. The widow of George R. Hawkins, she was the daughter of James A. and Sarah Woodward Burke of Rappahannock County. □
