Rappahannock County formers have only two more weeks to nominate candidates for Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation (ASC) community committeemen.
“It’s easy to do,” said J. W. Coates, the County Office Executive Director. “Each qandidate is nominated by a petition which has to be signed by at least three eligible voters. Each petition may name only one nominee. The petition may be on any sheet of paper. No special form is required. Included in the petition must be a statement that the candidate will serve if elected. Eligible farmers may sign as many petitions as they wish.”
