THE ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAM this year offers classes in wood carving, chair caning, art, furniture refinishing, small engine repair, welding, upholstering, typing and knitting.
Classes will be held each Thursday night at the high school from 7 to 9 p.m. Persons interested in any of these classes may enroll when the school convenes tonight, Thursday, January 18. All classes are still open and entries will be accepted through the next meeting January 25.
The school faculty includes Mrs. Dot Estes, wood carving; Mrs. Ruth Kilby, chair caning; Mrs. Sharon Donahey, in the art department; Pat Biggs, furniture refinishing; Richard Helmer, small engine workshop; instructing in welding is Sonnie Porter; Mrs. Pat Helmer, typing; while Hubert Gilkey instructs in upholstering and Mrs. Mary Cleverley holds the knitting classes.
A fee of $5 is required for enrollment and the cost of materials used must ue paid. The classes ‘ extend through March 22. □
