Mike Tupper also was cited as the outstanding team member “with emphasis on attitude and outlook.”
Harry Jordan was given the most valuable basketball player award with Dale Russell cited as best defensive player and Bobby Smoot received the best foul shot award. Coach Carter Ellis presented these. Jordan, it was noted also was named to the All District team.
OTHERS receiving letters for varsity basketball included Steve Leake, Cliff Frye, William Jordan, Tom Wigington and Bobby Titchenell.
Cheerleaders were recognized by their coach Mrs. Linda Toth who presented certificates to them. They
were Wendy Brown, Cil j Davis, Nancy Jones, Su- j san Latham, Cheryl Poling, Mery Moore Kilby and Angela Dennis.
