Nethers

Clyde Silas Nethers, 66, of Arlington died May 23, 1973 at the Northern Virginia Hospital following a short illness. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late James Robert and Christie Hawkins Nethers of Washington, Va.

He was employed by Continental Trailways for 38 years before retiring about one year ago. He compiled a safety record of 34 years driving without an accident.

Surviving are his wife, Aldean Marie Nethers; one daughter, Mrs. Gloria Jean Tukenback of Madison, Wis., three sisters, Mrs. " Fannie Burke ofWoodville, Mrs. Mary Wood and Mrs. Dora Updike, both of Washington, Va.; three brothers, Robert M. Nethers of Dunn Loring, George Ashby Nethers of Front Royal, and Charles Henry Nethers of San Diego, Calif.

He was a member of the First Baptist; Church of Clarendon.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Geest Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Malcolm Maples of Rappahannock. .Bu- ... rial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
