units of high school credit, excluding health and physical education, to be elibible to take the GED tests.
Applicants also must either be permanent residents of Virginia or have resided in the State six months prior to applying for testing.
Certificates are issued for minimum standard scores of 35 on each of the five tests and an average standard score of 45 on all tests. An applicant who fails to achieve a passing score on one or more of the tests may be re-tested if he can present evidence of additional study in the areas to be tested.
