Mrs. Samuel Andrew Reams of Amelia was matron of honor for her sister. She wore a floor length gown of blue and orchild printed voile with orchid satin ribbon. It was fashioned with short puffed sleeves, square neckline and an Empire waist. She wore a picture hat and carried a cascade of lavendar daisies and babies breath.
Bridesmaids were Miss Betsy Meade, the bridegroom’s sister; and Mrs. James Brewer, both of Charlottesville; Mrs. Daniel Belanger of Fort Bragg, N.C., Miss Julie Katherine Wheary and Mrs. David Hastings, both of Richmone. Their gowns were like that of the honor attendant, with aqua ribbon, and they carried cascades of blue daisies and babies breath.
Dr. Richard Andrew Meade was best man for his son. Groomsmen were Joseph Richard Kelly, Carl E. Hollar and James E. Brewer, all of Charlottesville, Andrew Reams i)f Amelia and David Carter Hastings of Richmond.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Johnston chose a floor length gown of light pink wool crepe with matching accessories and 4 a corsage of pink rosebuds.
