“WE THINK a good ski area is nicer than a bare mountain,” said Tom Moore of the Rappahannock Ski Corporation, in discussing his firm’s plans for development to the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors last Thursday.
The Rappahannock Ski Corporation is an affiliate of the Camelback Corporation of Pennsylvania. Camelback owns approximately 96 % of the Rappahannock corporation.
Before getting to his point—land development— Moore told the board how beautiful the area is, how attracted his corporation was to Virginia, and how any planning and development that they did would be done working with the Rappahannock planning commission.
Moore emphasized the “we want to work with you” concept of land development.
How much development is anticipated, Moore would not say, but he did describe what is planned in Pennsylvania.
