The Division of Forestry arranged with a commercial spraying company to have some nusiance trees removed on the farm of Col. E.A. McNear near Washington. Evan Sharp, District Forester and Clifton (Tippy) Jenkins, Rappahannock Forest Warden, were on hand Tuesday to see the job done properly. By selective spraying, undesirable growth can be killed and hardwood growth controlled where a stand of pines has been planted. This was the object of the low flying helicopter around Rappahannock which also sprayed in the Flint Hill area. The long metal booms protruding out each side release the spray as the plane hovers
