ALL SLOW moving vehicles, traveling 25 m.p.h. or less, on Virginia’s roadways are required by law to display a slow moving vehicle emblem.

This flourescent orange and red triangular shaped emblem ^lould be attached to the rear center of the slow moving vehicle. The emblem is clearly visible a half-mile away during the day and with headlights as a controlling factor, is most effective at night.

“Although this law refers specifically to tractors and other farm equipment, it also applies to all vehicles normally operated at speeds of 25 m.p.h. or less,” according to John T. Hanna director, Highway Safety Division of Virginia.
