Cecil Smoot was the winning pitcher in Friday’s Pony League game with Upperville. The previous Wednesday the locals defeated The Plains at The Plains with a 7 - 3 score. Bill Dawson was the winning pitcher. He was relieved by Cecil Smoot after Larry Brown who was catching was injured and Dawson replaced Brown. Larry Brown had homered before going out of the game. Others hitting safely were Dale Frye, Cecil Smoot, Mike Smoot, Aubrey Frye and Barry Adkins.
