Fireworks on the 4th
AVON HALL, WASHINGTON, VA. will be the setting for a Fourth of July celebration. Mr. and Mrs. William M. Carrigan, with the co-operation of the Lions Club and the fire department, plan an evening of entertainment ending with a professional display of fireworks around the lake.
The Carrigans again extend an invitation to Rappahannock folk to come and enjoy the evening. Visitors are requested to use the hills on the Court House side overlooking the lake and old Route 21L They may enter from Court House monument grounds. Parking will be available on Gay and Main Streets.
Families may bring suppers and eat on the hillside. Receptacles for trash will be available. The fire department will have sandwiches and drinks available at various points. The program will start at 6:30 p.m. A list of events will be published later.C
