Washington Rescue Squad on January 15 took Jett Woodward from home in Sperryville to Winchester Memorial Hospital. January 27 Dorothy Hawkins was taken from home to Winchester Memorial Hospital. Dorothy Fletcher was taken from home in Sperryville to Culpeper Memorial Hospital February 2. The same day Jake Smoot, Jr. was taken from home to Warren Memorial Hospital.
Washington Fire Company answered calls to a brush fire in Wade H. Massie’s orchard January 29 and to a barn fire January 30 at Steve Baldwin’s farm.
Sperryville Rescue Squad had one call this week to carry Bill Martin from Gid Brown Hollow to Culpeper Memorial Hospital, Sunday January 26.
