Amelia Harrison Palmer became the bride of Joseph Manuel Bowman on Saturday, June 21, 1975. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Charles Baker Palmer and the late Mr. Palmer of Lawrenceville. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Carlyle Bowman. The Rev. Charles F. Glaenzer of Highland Springs performed the outdoor ceremony at Schffle Hill, the Palmer’s summer home on the James River near Smithfield. Immediate families and a few close friends attended.
The bride was given in marriage by her brothers, David Elam Palmer and Charles Stewart Palmer. Her sister, Margaret Palmer Valdrighi, was matron of honor and Anita Ann Bowman, the bridegroom’s sister, was maid of honor. James Carlyle Bowman was best man for his son and ushers were Timothy Jay Bowman and Manuel Sowers.
