AMISSVILLE Ruritan Club members are making plans for their annual pit-cooked barbeque. The beef will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. on July 5 at the Amissville carnival grounds. Choice of vegetables and desserts will be offered.

The barbeque is the biggest fund raising activity of the Club. Proceeds are used to support many community projects, among them the Amissville Boy Scouts and the Amissville Little League Baseball teams. This year the Club presented a scholarship to Kathy Dwyer during graduation exercises at Rappahannock High School.
