Recent weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Yates and daughters. Janet and Lois were Mrs. Harvey Schueler and Heidi, and Esther Johnson of Woodstown, N. J. The Yates family attended the graduation of Mr. Yates’ granddaughter, Kathy Yates, in Roanoke recently. Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Yates were in Pennsylvania for the Auker-Bressler reunion. Janet and Lois Yates returned home Sunday after spending a week in Ohio with Mrs. Hazel Chapman in Newark and friends in Marion.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer with Mrs. Mary Quaintance attended the Palmer-Bowman wedding Saturday afternoon which took place near Smithfield at the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Charles B. Palmer.
Bobby Singleton will return to his home in Munster, Ind. Thursday after spending two weeks with his father, Harry Singleton and aunt. Mrs. Clarice Clark. Tuesday their guests were Mr. and Mrs. E.G. Head of Charlottesville and Friday they visited Mrs. Lee Power in Culpeper. Weekend guests were Mrs. Lucille Eheart and Miss Madeline Eheart of Arlington.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Carroll and sons. Jimmy and Eddie with Bobette Swindler have been vacationing with Mrs. Carroll's mother, Mrs. Helen Pszenny in Salem, Mass. Eddie and Bobette remained for a longer visit. Patricia Doyle
