Apple thieves
TWO motorists were cited for larceny of apples Tuesday at Mt. Vernon Stock Farm atSperryville. Curtis Lancaster of Alexandria and Thomas Swartz of Suitland, Md. were arrested and charged with the theft. By keen observation, trooper J. A. Watson apprehended the pair. Lancaster was released on bond and Swartz was incarcerated.
Trooper Watson reported three traffic incidents in Rappahannock. September 8, a single vehicle crash occurred on Route 635 near Huntly. William Alther of Rixeyville operating a 73 Ford pickup went through a fence on the A. A. Dearing property and turned over. He was cited for reckless driving and hit and run.
