The county’s share for participation in this program with retroactive coverage for the five employes was given by Norton as $1,160. With coverage beginning on July 1,1976, the cost to the county would be $680.
Chairman E. N. Montague noted that this year’s budget included $1,200 for the inclusion of nonprofessional employes in the retirement program.
“If the aides have it, then these others should, too,” saidMrs. Quaintance. “They work just as hard.”
“Just because it’s budgeted doesn’t mean we have to spend it,” commented Board member Walter Masterson.
