arum and bugle corps wnn colonial Beach as second. Safeway Stores was declared best commercial float and Washington House of Reproductions was second. Cadette Girl Scouts 380 were the best civic float. Cindy Warner was judged best horse and rider and Chester Gap Hillbillies were judged best comic entry.
RAPPAHANNOCK Lions Club had the best antique car. A special award went to the Washington Cub Scout Pack 123 and the judges award went to Flint Hill Fire Company.
Parade co-chairman, R.D. Hawkins and Jennings Hobson expressed appreciation to all for their participation and cooperation in the parade and to all who assisted with the event. □
