Washington Rescue Squad carried Dot Fletcher from near Pine Knot Inn to Warren Memorial Hospital September 1. September 12 Mrs. Alice Verner was transported from her home to Culpeper Memorial by the unit. September 13 the Washington Fire Dept, fought a roadside fire on Rt. 211 across from Pine Knot Inn.
September 11 Virgil Wilson was transferred from Warren Memorial Hospital to the Carson Lillard home in Flint Hill. The following day Mrs. Myrtle Smoot was taken from the O.A. Smoot home to Warren Memorial. Amanda Champ was taken from her home to Warren Memorial on
Song service
A song service will be held Sunday, September 19 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Special music will be by die Tom Lee Family. After the service, a picnic lunch will be held in the Educational Building and on the church lawn. Everyone is invited to attend and bring a covered dish.D
