Constitution Week
The week of September 17-23 has been designated by the President of the United States as Constitution Week pursuant to an Act of Congress. The Constitution was adopted September 17, 1787, ratifled June 21, 1788, and put into effect on March 4, 1789.
As part of the observance of Constitution Week, citizens are urged to fly the American flag. The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution has set up displays and placed posters recognizing Constitution Week in several public buildings.
