THE Shenrapawa District of the Boy Scouts of America held its 1976 annual meeting on September 2 at the VFW Hall in Luray. Presiding at the meeting, which was attended by 100 Scout Leaders and their families, was Ivan Coffelt of Edinburg, Assistant District Commissioner of Shenrapawa District, Shenandoah Area Council.
Highlight of the meeting was the presentation of 1976 awards. Sharon Southerly was announced as the Cub Scout Leader of the Year Award recipient for her work in the District and with Pack 122, Luray. Larry Pirtle, Scoutmaster of Scout Troop 51, New Market, received the Scout Leader Award. Barry Sweitzer of Edinburg, received the District Award of Merit for his continuing work as Scoutmaster and District Training team member.
