The Seventh District Democrats are sponsoring an old fashioned picnic and rally on Sunday, October 10 from 3 to 6 p.m. at Graves Mountain Lodge at Syria. Tickets are $10 per person for adults and $2.50 for children.
“Food, fun short speeches, politics and apples will be the order of the day,” according to A.H. Keyser, who also added that those attending should take folding chairs and blankets for their comfort.

A revival meeting at Forest Grove Baptist Church, Viewtown, will be held the week of October 10. The regular worship service will be at 11 a.m.; Sunday School at 10 a.m., Sunday evening the Rev. Ronald Wiley, pastor of F. T. Valley and Reynolds Memorial Baptist Churches will speak at the 7:30 p.m. service.
