This book should be of interest not only to teachers who began their careers in education in an earlier day, but also to presentday educators, parents and citizens. Throughout the book are facts and figures that point out the growth of education in the state over the years.
The collection of interesting experiences of retired school personnel was contributed by members of the association from many sections of the state. General Lee’s Report on School Discipline is as timely today as when it was written in the year 1867.
