CHAPTER 14. Quail.
Regulation R14-4, prohibiting the hunting of quail in the snow, is hereby rescinded.
CHAPTER 16. Raccoon.
Present Chapter 16, consisting of Regulations R16-1 through R16-13, is hereby rescinded, and the following new Chapter 16, consisting of Regulations R16-1 through R16-7, is to take its place:
R16-1. Except as otherwise specifically provided in the regulations appearing in this chapter, it shall be lawful to chase raccoon with dogs, without capturing or taking, in all counties east of the Blue Ridge Mountains from September 1 through March 31, both dates inclusive.
R16-2. Except as otherwise specifically provided in the regulations appearing in this chapter, it shall be lawful to chase raccoon with dogs, without capturing or taking, in all counties west of the Blue Ridge Mountains from October 15 through January 31, both dates inclusive.
R16-3. It shall be lawful to chase raccoon with dogs, without capturing or taking, in the counties of Alleghany, Augusta, Bath, Clarke, Frederick, Highland, Page, Rockbridge, Rockingham, Shenandoah and Warren from October 15 through February 28, both dates inclusive.
R16-4. It shall be lawful to chase raccoon with dogs, without capturing or taking, on the George Washington National Forest and on the Gathright, Goshen, G. Richard Thompson, Highland, Little North Mountain and Rapidan Wildlife Management Areas from November 1 through December 31, both dates inclusive.
R16-5. Except as otherwise specifically provided in the regulations appearing in this chapter and except as provided by local legislation, it shall be lawful to take raccoon by hunting or trapping from November 1 through January 31, both dates inclusive.
R16-6. It shall be lawful to take raccoon by hunting or trapping on the George Washington National Forest and on the Gathright, Goshen, G. Richard Thompson, Highland, Little North Mountain and Rapidan Wildlife Management Areas from November 1 through December 31, both dates inclusive.
R16-7. Except as provided by local legislation, the bag limit for hunting raccoon shall be two per hunting party, taken between noon of one day and noon the following day. The season bag limit shall be twenty-five raccoons in the aggregate, taken by hunting and trapping combined.
