Having a vegetable garden has always been Elizabeth Switzers passion in life.
“My garden is my pride and joy* the 87-year-old Castleton resident told a visitor one summer afternoon this week.
Visions of red ripe tomatoes and sliced cucumber dance through her imagination as she prepares lunch. And nothing tastes better than hot. buttered summer squash with a dash of salt and pepper, she said.
Her vegetable garden has supplemented her table for years and also has spruced up her back yard.
