Mr. and Mrs. Ray Frazier and Christopher accompanied by Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville attended the Clarke County Fair and Tractor Pull in Berryville on Friday and were surprised to see some of our local country folk competing in the tractor pull. In an interview last Friday, officials of the U. S. Postal Service confirmed that a new Amissville Post Office is still being actively pursued. “Unfortunately." said Richard S. Thompson, USPS Northern Virginia District Manager of Administrative Services, "our first choice location has fallen through, but we made a commitment to the community to explore every possibility. We are going to look at another property in the village , area." On Friday Andrew Burke participated in the Flint Hill parade* with Boy Scout Troop 200. The boys won a trophy, for the Best Appearing Youth Group. Please help us reach our goal of 200 registered kids this week at Amissville Baptist Church's Vacation Bible School so Rev. DeLong will not have to kiss a pig!
