A new addition to the upper school English department is Robert Griffn, who has taught tenth and eleventh grade English, SAT preparation and journalism at a boarding school in Prescott, Ariz., during the last three years. He is a graduate of the University of Missouri, with a double major in journalism and history.
Also joining the Wakefield family is Bernadette CXHeir, who will be an assistant in the grade two classroom. A native of Glasgow, Scotland, OUeir attended Letterkenney College in Ireland, worked at the British Embassy, and she brings with her five sons and extensive volunteer experience from Epiphany School in Culpeper.
This year, Wakefield also has added a part-time faculty member to enhance its drama department - Tbni Egger. Egger is a resident of Castleton who recently retired from her position as a producer at the Discovery Channel to live full-time in Rappahannock County. She previously taught at Phillips Academy and Sidwell Friends. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts from Mount Holyoke College and her Master’s in English Literature from the University of Virginia.
