With more cuts in the state budget to come, our schools won’t be the only institutions suffering—our social service programs will suffer as well So much for Kaine “representing the needs of the people” and “furthering the range of school improvements.”
What the paper’s endorsement did get right was Kaine’s friendliness towards business (read: developers and development). Overdevelopment is the number one cause for “the state’s highway and transportation disaster” which our paper gave him a pass on and graciously spread the blame around. In addition, according to Sunday’s edition of the Obama (Washington) Post, Kaine will attend a welcome reception in Denver for the Virginia delegation— sponsored by none other than Rappahannock’s arch enemy Dominion Power.
